Monica Crowley explains the situation

Anyone who's been reading my blogs knows how concerned I am that we are losing the war on terrorism because we are not doing what we have to do as a nation, i.e., stand together and fight together, even though we hate war and killing and bloodshed and we just want to be good people and let people "do their thing."

Please read the following short essay by our dear friend, the brilliant Monica Crowley, host (with Ronald Reagan Jr.) of MSNBC's "Connected Coast to Coast" which is on every day at both 12 PM and 5 PM (that's a lot of work!) She spoke these words last night while filling in for Joe Scarborough and it was THE TRUTH. I pray that THE TRUTH shall keep us all free:

"In case we have forgotten that we are in a war---a war against a brutally ruthless enemy--the enemy just reminded us once again. Two weeks after radical Islamist terrorists attcked London, killing 56 people, they apparently struck again today. And although the magnitude of the attack was less this time around, we know they are capable of much bigger, more deadly hits.

Let us remind ourselves, lest we forget: this is an enemy that operates in the shadows while telling us exactly what their intentions are. An enemy that cannot be negotiated with, reasoned with, or deterred. An enemy that believes nothing short of conquering the Western world will do. An enemy that beheads people as an average day at the office. An enemy that believes the Christian, Jew, any non-Muslim is an infidel who needs to be converted to Islam, or killed. THAT enemy.

Their objective is to have radical Islam dominate the world, and they will stop at nothing to get there. They try to undermine our will to fight back, by killing us, paralyzing our cities, hobbling our economies, "terrorizing" us, in every sense of the word. The enemy is blooodyminded, spohisticated, ruthless, rich, and fatalistic. These attacks are political as well as terrorist events: to demonstrate power, confidence, fearlessness, and reach.

Remember the note, left by one of the Madrid bombers after that attack? It said, "You choose life. We choose death." Well, yes, we DO choose life. And our WAY of life. And as long as WE have the strength and the confidence to call the enemy what it is, stare it right in the face, and destroy it, we will prevail." -Monica Crowley
